Objective:  
Description: This project was funded by the DBSA, complementing an urban study funded by the World Bank. The objective was to review experience of Pro-Poor LED in rural municipalities in South Africa. This involved a survey of rural municipalities, plus a number of case studies. Other partners in the project include Rhodes and Wits Universities, as well as SALGA, dplg, SACN, LGSETA.
