 Design of Extension to Tuungane Project in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)

Objective: Designing a 5 year extension to the Tuungane Programme, with an emphasis on governance issues
Description:  The Tuungane programme works with 1.7 million people in Eastern DRC and its purpose is to improve stability through community-driven planning and reconstruction. It will do this through building social cohesion, improving an understanding of the value of democratic local governance and increasing socio-economic activity. The main activities are facilitating elections of village and community development committees, building capacity at community level to design tenders and manage development initiatives, community-driven planning and facilitating participatory monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of community projects
