Kamal Singh is appointed CEO of Khanya-aicdd
Kamal Singh was appointed CEO of Khanya-aicdd effective 1 September 2009, as Ian Goldman, founding member and former CEO assumed the new role of Senior Advisor.
Kamal is a South African development activist who after working in the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, became a member of staff at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, working with Robert Chambers in the Participation Group. He was instrumental in the spread of Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approaches across the globe. Kamal has also recently been CEO of the Agency for Cooperation and Development (ACORD), an INGO operational in 22 African countries, based in London and Nairobi. He has worked in over 25 countries internationally, while resident in SA, UK, Senegal and Kenya.
