The overall purpose of this course is to develop a cadre of development practitioners committed to community-based planning processes that ensure planning is responsive to the improvement of community livelihoods and enriching strategic development planning efforts for effective service delivery
Course Objectives:

- Participants have a clearer understanding of how to give effect to the requirements of the Municipal Systems Act;
- Participants actually produce real plans with real communities. Plans will be used by the hosting municipality to enrich the municipal IDP

Cost
The expected contribution from each participant is R15,000 (or US$ equivalent) and this amount contributes towards the training costs, training materials and stationery, refreshments and lunches.
