Community-based Planning
Community-based planning (CBP) is a form of participatory planning which has been designed to promote community action. The methodology was originally developed through a 4 Country Project with South Africa, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Ghana and was refined in a second phase in South Africa where it is now being rolled out nationally. As of May 2006
Community-based Planning has been included as a mandatory part of the curricula/models that Ward Committees undergo throughout South Africa.
